The People First／ピープル・ファースト

Yesterday one of my coworkers talked to the staff about his home country about his country, the
kingdom of Bhutan. He gave a lot of interesting information like how it is surrounded by 80%
forest, or that it is a small population of only 700,000 people.
But the thing that I liked the most is the fact that the king`s main concern is the happiness of the
people.
They have free education, free healthcare and free electricity for all of the people. Even
foreigners will get free healthcare .
I couldn’t help but wish that the world could take examples of those values. If other governments
taught like that, the world would be a better place.
Especially in these days with the new Covid19 everyone could use free healthcare and free
access to resources.
Governments around the world are mostly all about profit, charging their own people for
healthcare and education, and most cannot afford it.
The people need to come first before money and profit, and the world would be a better and
happier place.

先日、ブータン人のスタッフと母国ブータンについて話をしました。
彼からブータンはどうやって国土の80％を森林で保つことができるのか、そして、トータルの人口が70万人である事など色々と面白い話を聞きましたが
その中でも自分が感心した事は人々の幸せな生活に気を配る国だということです。

彼らは無償の教育、医療機関などを受けられますし、外国人でも受けられるのです。他の政府もそれに習って受けられたら、より住みやすい社会になると思います。

全世界の国々は自国民の利益、医療機関、教育などを優先するとは言ってますが大体はそれらを受け入れることは難しいらしいです。

お金、利益よりも人々のことを優先的に考えた社会だったら、世の中はもっと幸せで良くなるでしょう。
